I was born and brought up in a family belonging to a village of Bihar. I grew up but some part of me wants to visit this memory lane again and again. Like Mahatma Gandhi said, “The soul of India lives in the village”, I believe a part of my soul is still there.
The initial days of my schooling were those of a normal student with nothing miraculous happening at the beginning. But by the time I had to appear for the board examination, I had developed a deep love for mathematics, which shaped my next few years of life.
With every passing year after my board examination, my interest and love for mathematics grew stronger. If I term this as an addiction, it will not be wrong. At the height of this love and addiction, it started affecting my daily life in a strange way, like a complete loss of interest in other academic subjects and difficulty in staying away from mathematics even for a few days. This phase of life I spent in Bihar itself with my family of five, guided by a quote from Ramanujan – ‘An equation for me has no meaning unless it expresses a thought of God’.
I crossed this phase with a newfound interest in coding. I will not say it was stronger than what it was for mathematics, but it was good enough to gain affection and appreciation from my faculties and new found attention across sections during my college life for a longer duration. Also, it helped me further securing a job during campus placements.
Professional responsibilities took me to a new city Gurgaon (NCR). This is where I entered in Software field as an IT Professional and met some of the distinct characters. I grew up as an individual personally and professionally during this phase. My professional responsibilities again took me to Paris. In this new city, two things helped me to move forward, first the view of the lightening of Eiffel tower from my window and second celebrating my 30th birthday on the side yards of the Louvre Museum (Paris). This is still one of the ecstatic moments I cherish upon.
Here at this meeting juncture, I will take you with me on the different interesting journeys of many characters either fictional or real. Few times some of those characters can be from my experiences, a few times from my imagination or mythologies. Few times you will experience reality and fiction coinciding with each other. But one thing is sure, when you decide to visit any of such a character’s journey here, you will not be alone. I will be there for you, surprising you with the ups and downs of events. All these experiences can happen at the nearest checkpoint called “BLOGS“.
Lockdown came as an opportunity to me where my blogs and stories were continuously loved which gave me the motivation to complete this book “The Mystical Himalayan Yeti – A tale of two worlds”. The details of this book are now available on nearest tab “BOOKS“.
In the last 2-3 years, I developed a new interest and that is for teaching. Trained 150+ individuals in communication skills (mostly job interview specific) and got very good results with many got placed in multiple domains like HR, Finance, Accounts, Scholar Trainees, and so on. I have taken a couple of batches on C/C++ and also enjoyed teaching System Design sessions to a group of experienced professionals (No charges applied).
Recently I have started my You Tube channel @Emojimonkee , where I love to share my knowledge and experience on resume building, communications skills and soft skills preparation, interview preparation and different technical topics. To streamline my passion for interacting with people on various career topics, I am now available on Topmate and is recognized as Top 1 % mentor on Topmate.
