In the year 2014, I can still remember the day we first met. I had to meet her at Gurgaon Sector 14. I reached fifteen minutes early. I had decided that once we meet, from there we can travel together back to the office after the formalities are over.
A lot of thoughts were running in my mind that how this bond will go in the future. If she is a good choice or not? Till now my parents had been always hesitant to approve my decisions but this time somehow, they considered my choice.
When I met her, she was all in black, standing in a corner. After a formal introduction, we both thought it will be good if we go to the office together. We left from there, meanwhile on our way to the office I was noticing everyone passing from nearby was glaring us. I was happy with this newfound attention.
We reached the office and I promised her to see her in the evening. I had clicked a few pictures with her and had shared those pictures with my family. They responded positively and praised my choice. The only suggestion I got was to be patient and being slow and not to rush initially in this relationship. After lunch, I went near her place to see if everything was fine as this was her first day at this office. She was silent but smiling, by which I guessed she was comfortable.
We met after office, I asked her if she is comfortable joining me to temple as this is such an important day for both of us. She said as I am new to this place, I will accompany you wherever you want.
We reached the nearest temple by 7 P.M. I asked the priest to do necessary rituals. I had brought 2 kg of Laddu from the sweets store which the priest used in ritual and returned rest. All this time she was standing silently observing how this day was important for me.
The next day was Sunday and we decided to visit the nearest mall. It was in the outer of the city and we had to use the highways. Being with her for the first time to a mall after having an hour of the good ride was a thrilling experience. When I reached the mall, two kids who were accompanying a beautiful friend looked back at us and smiled. I sensed jealously in their smile which I thoroughly enjoyed. On our way back to home kids of early twenties were noticing us and they were not able to take eyes from us for some extended seconds.
Days went by and I can still remember in 2016, I was outside the city for six months. When I came back, on my way to flat, I went to see her. Her health had deteriorated in the last six months. She was not energetic the way she used to be, she looked dull. I promised to take her to checkup the very next day.
The next day we went for her checkup, after a couple of hours of tests nothing serious found. I asked her to have a good bath and brought something premium for her to drink. Just by evening, she was again shining, energetic ready to accompany me, the way we used to roam here and there whenever we had free time.
She is always best in maintaining her balance when we most need it. I saw the best of her when one-day we were coming from a movie, we were riding at 116 km/hr speed. I saw a rickshaw losing control from a distance coming towards us. The way she handled the whole situation without losing balance and panicking for a moment. More than today I was never this much sure that she was my best choice. After this incident, our relationship became much stronger.
Today, nine years we have completed together. In all these years I can surely say, she has certainly taken care of me, more than I am used to doing for her. She has accompanied me when I asked her to without denying. I am fortunate that in all these years she had been always in good health, shining, standing in my garage, always waiting for me to join her on another ride together. I can still remember the first day how I wanted all documents and other formalities to complete soon so that I can bring her with me. I can still remember the day I first met my bike, black beauty, Pulsar 220.
